Rainy Day Books

And if you're looking for something new because you just wrapped up your most recent book or you're trying to build a new habit and just unplug from your phone, KCUR's book experts have picks for you.

Today, Steve spoke with Justin Dickinson, a bookseller at Rainy Day Books, Diana Platt, a virtual resources librarian with the Kansas City Public Library, and Angie Strathman, reader engagement librarian at the Mid-Continent Public Library, about what they're reading as these days get cold.

How have your years in reading been so far? And that's to say, what kinds of stories are interesting to you lately? Diana, what are you seeing?

So I'm reading a lot of romance right now because it's a great escape.

Anna Karenina.

Yes.

Every year, a book kind of like sinks its claws into the rainy day booksellers.

And this year it's been Anna Karenina.

So thank you for coming, and we'll sign in a moment.

But Grace, thank you to you and Rainy Day Books and Unity.

Grace.
