Rainbow table

There was also this article published today in, uh, Outflank about, basically they published...

Outflank has now published an, an Net-NTLM1, uh, Net-NTLM v1 rainbow table that's under four terabytes, which is pretty cool.

There were previously rainbow tables out there, but they were massive.

I think they were, like...

The ones from Google, I believe they were, like, eight terabi- uh, or two or three times the size of this.

Um, and so basically Outflank has published a nice little tool.

Believe it or not, Net-NTLM v1 is still out there, and so these rainbow tables-

Long live Net-NTLM.

So I just need to go encrypt a bunch of stuff until I come up with the same math answer that you went through to encrypt your password.

There's a project and it's been going on for 15 years called rainbow tables, and you can go to their website and buy six terabytes of math answers.

Oh, where they've already encrypted a bunch of passwords?

They've done this 24 hours a day, seven days a week across every platform that's out there.

And that's what I

meant.

So the rainbow tables, they're creating these hashes across all of the available systems in their projects.

So Linux, all the different flavors of Linux with salt, Linux without salt, Windows, every version of Windows with LTM, Lant hashing on, but it turned off.
