Rainbow Point

Some of the coolest places I've been to, like Bryce Canyon, Rio Grande Norte National Monument.

Gina, I remember going out to Bryce Canyon, oh man, it feels so, it is long ago, 16 years ago, and observing off of Rainbow Point.

And that was one of the absolute neatest things I've ever done.

Just looking at the stars of my buddy of mine brought out a, I think it was a 16 inch Dobsonian scope, which is pretty big scope.

The other main area of the park is the 18-mile scenic drive.

The road continues from the Bryce Amphitheatre all the way to Rainbow Point, and that's the end of the road.

This is technically open all year, but it is often closed due to snow in the winter.

Rainbow Point at the end is actually a thousand feet higher than the main amphitheater area.

So it's a slow ascent.

A tip if you're going to do this drive, which I recommend that you do, is to drive all the way to Rainbow Point and then stop off at the lookouts.

There's several lookouts along the way on the way back because they're all on the right side of the road.

So if you do that, you don't need to cross the road to pull into the parking areas there.

After all, enjoying the work and the location is part of the reason to embrace the work camping lifestyle in the first place.

Their first season was successful enough that they've been invited to return to Rainbow Point next year.
