Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital

In northeast Ohio, a three-year-old boy is in serious condition after what is believed to be an accidental gunshot wound that happened last night on Cleveland's East Side.

The child is at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital.

This marks the 19th such incident in the state, which leads the entire nation in unintended child shootings.

Ohio has no state-mandated safe firearm storage laws on the books.

Can you tell us what first drew you into education? And then secondly, what does your day-to-day look like?

So I first got my start in nursing education when I was working as a pediatric nurse at Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.

One of my fellow nurses was a teacher for Case Western Reserve University and asked me if I'd thought about ever teaching clinicals for students, to bring them on the floor and teach them the clinical portion of the class.

And she s- told me all I had to do was start my master's degree, and they would hire me.
