Mind Map - The Intersection of Artificial Intelligence & Knowledge Management
21:03
R
8:03We don't have a ton of control over that middle layer, so we're at the mercy of a lot of other people.
R
8:09So, you know, control the controllables, and accept that in the middle, is this working towards our business needs at this time? And keep those other two tight and in order so you can be flexible and kind of deal with the mess of the middle that you can't change.
R
8:33I can't control that, and if I wrote all of my proprietary models on ChatGPT and they're like, "Oh, actually, we're gonna, we're gonna kill that LLM, so now you're gonna have to rewrite everything on Anthropic."

Can you tell people what the LMA is, and then what you do, how they could get involved? Give me the rundown.
Legal Marketing Association President Rachel Shields Williams On AI, Innovation, and Why People Still Come First
R
11:24So what are you doing with this newfound time? And when you think about AI, what it doesn't do is the creativity, the advocacy, the support.
R
11:35And one of the messages that I found really interesting from LegalWeek that I thought was different from even ILTA in August or, like, the fall legal tech conferences is people are like, "Oh, we need help with adoption."We need help with telling our clients the value of all this money that we're investing in things.
R
11:53And that's why, like, I come to the marketing community and I'm like, "Okay, we have all of these skills." We are so well-positioned to go to our friends in knowledge management, in innovation, in IT, in wherever it's happening in your firm, and help them work on that adoption, help them, you know, work on how to communicate it to the clients, whether it's the lawyers or to the actual clients.
R
12:17Give the lawyers the talking points to help explain how are products like Harvey and Lagora changing the way that they're doing business and delivering value to the client.

R
20:39... 'cause law firms have, you know, an embarrassment of information.
R
20:43[laughs] Um, you know, I think most industries would kill to have the amount of data that we have sitting around, so we have to prioritize what we have.
