David in Reading writes, I feel forced to write in response to the disappointing review that the usually highly enlightened Scott Bryan gave to this show.

You know, you can get some really, really impressive creations.

Oh, absolutely, and there's a fab program on the BB- on BBC Scotland at the moment called Race Against the Tide, and it's where teams are battling to build fabulous sculptures-

We're gonna chat about Race Against the Tide shortly, but you're a sculptor who works with, with sand and ice.

How did you get involved in, in doing something like that?

Tonight, the BBC launches its latest show to take ordinary people and to show them and us how to do extraordinary things.

Race Against the Tide sees seven contestants head to a Scottish beach to be paired up with professional sand sculptors.

The program is hosted by comedian Iain Stirling, known to millions as the voice-over guy on Love Island.

[upbeat music] It's a sculpting competition nobody asked for, but we all probably need.

Yeah.

It was so nice.

Like, um, I think the biggest thing about the show, I remember when-- So for those that don't know, the show is called Race Against the Tide because seven contestants have six hours to build these massive sand sculptures.

And the reason it's six hours is after six hours, the tide will come in and wash them all away.

Right, who's kicking us off then? Scott, what have we got today?

Uh, we're looking at Race Against the Tide, which is not Race Across the World.

It's a show about competitive sand sculpting.

It's summer, everyone.

[laughs] There you go.

Very much so, especially if we wasted their time by recommending the show in the first place.
