But the ADC is not the only opposition platform preparing for twenty twenty-seven.

The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has also emerged as another major opposition platform with Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso at the center stage of its presidential ticket.

The party is also involved in wider opposition discussions on cooperation ahead of the election.

So what is the NDC's position on the push for a single opposition candidate? I spoke with Ladipoy Johnson, the Lagos Central Senate trust candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress.

Kwan Kwaso was twice governor of Kano State, defense minister.

You even have Peter Obi, twice governor of Anambra State.

Tell me the young ones there.

Some of them were apparently more enthusiastic, and some of them were less enthusiastic.

I've, I've read that Kwankwaso actually in, in Kano State was among the, the less enthusiastic.

Um, and some of them were accused of even kind of dragging their feet a little bit when it came to it.

But I think from, from what I can tell, there was massive support at the, at the popular level, um, for the reasons I think Kenhammer lays out, you know, this idea that it was gonna fix the, the moral ills of the society, that it was gonna clean things up.

You know, then all the big names in Nigerian politics worked with him.

Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the president we have right now, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, they all worked with him.

Rochas Okorocha was there.

They all had presidential ambitions, but they let all of that go to work with Muhammadu Buhari.
