So he said, "I have tried to do that.

I have tried to love good deeds and do good deeds so that when I die, they will go with me." The second lesson that he mentions, he says, "I have read in the Quran that Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says," [speaking Arabic] In Surah An-Nazi'at Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said, "But as for the one who feared the standing before his Rabb Jalla Jalaluhu in the Hereafter on the Day of Judgment.

But as for the one who feared the standing before his Rabb and he stopped himself from evil desires and evil deeds, certainly Jannah will be his abode." Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is saying, [speaking Arabic] with ta'kid.

Allah is saying Jannah will be his abode.

Now-- So therefore he said, "I know that whatever Allah says is true." So if Allah is saying this Jalla Jalaluhu that the one who fears the standing before his Rabb Jalla Jalaluhu on the Day of Judgment, and therefore he stops himself from evil desires and evil deeds, certainly Jannah will be his abode, will be his place of, uh, being and place of staying.

He says, "Therefore, I have restrained myself from worldly desires, and I have become steadfast in my devotion to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala." Now, the fact that we will stand before Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala, this is not, uh, not strange for any of us.

So this is Al-Amr from Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.

So Allah says, ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ خَالِقُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّهُ وَفَأَنَّا تُؤْفَكُونَ He says, He is Allah, your Rabb, the creator of everything.

Then from that moves to saying what? لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّهُ So how do you turn away from this? And the progression of that argument is very rational and emotional.

It makes sense.

It says, this is Allah your Rabb.

And this is something that you know.

He is my Rabb.

Somebody made me, sustains me, gives me food, gives me water, gives me life.

And in Surah Al-Qasas, what does it say? يَا مُوسَىٰ إِنِّي أَنَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ I am Allah عز و جل, the Lord of all.

And then in Surah Taha, إِنِّي أَنَا رَبُّكَ فَخْلَعْنَ عَلَيْكَ إِنَّكَ بِالْوَادِ الْمُقَدَّسِي طُوَةً In Surah Taha, Allah Azza wa Jal tells him, I am your Rabb, so take off your sandals.

Indeed, you are in the blessed or in the sacred valley that is called Tua.

So Musa Alayhi Salaam comes and he's thinking that there is a fire.

So no one is going to listen to you if you talk to them like that.

So Allah Azawajal says, فَقُولَ لَهُ قَوْلًا لَيِّنًا لَعَلَّهُ يَتَذَكَّرُ Perhaps he will remember.

هَلَّكَ إِلَىٰ أَن تَزَكَّى وَأَهْدِيَكَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَتَخْشَى And it says in the other surah, Allah Azza wa Jalla tells them, Tell him, هَلَّكَ إِلَىٰ أَن تَزَكَّى Shall I not tell you how you can be purified? And that I guide you to your Lord, to your Rabb, so that you will fear Him.

Some scholars have said this is the soft speech that Allah wanted them to say to Pharaoh.
