Quonset Point

I don't think this has to be affordable housing.

I think it just has to be housing that we work with the different contractors, specifically at Quonset Point, where, you know, the future of our, our whole economy, or at least a big portion of it, will be defense.

Obviously healthcare, which I hope we can talk about the healthcare hurricane hitting our, uh, state.

Yeah.

He was seventy-eight, and he'd been a pipe fitter at Quonset Point for most of his life, and by February, the visiting nurse had told Corrine it would be a matter of weeks.

He was clear in his mind.

He slept most of the day and was awake a good part of the night, and she'd taken to sleeping on the couch with the bedroom door open so she could hear him.

And you know, imagine, you know, Quonset and Rhode Island as, you know, the national sort of defense area and epicenter for, uh, you know, the federal, state, and local.

We have, um, we have such an opportunity with our infrastructure in regards to Quonset Point, Electric Boat, the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, and what's happening down there, and all the federal dollars.

It's the future of defense.

And so you have heard my platform, but I'll kind of sum this up and, and why, uh, I believe that the people of Rhode Island should vote for me.

We need to give them small modular homes or mobile homes, along with wraparound services, which are for, you know, addiction and/or mental health, especially when they come back from the battlefield.

And then we need transportation to places like Quonset Point, where they need 8,000 new jobs.

Um, we're in a healthcare hurricane, as I stated.

Uh, one of the biggest things is reimbursement.

And with electricity going through the roof, I believe that we can work with, uh, you know, small modular reactors, fusion.

We have to, uh, uh, upgrade the grids.

And we can do all of that because of what we're doing with Quonset Point and the $76 billion that's happening, you know, at, uh, Electric Boat, in addition to the Naval Undersea Warfare Center.

We are the future of defense.

back especially the rural communities and a lot of this has been pushed down and everyone's saying you know what not in my backyard enough's enough this has to go through a process and a protocol and i just think it's a con job i mean how can you build that many homes in the state there's not enough land there's not enough infrastructure and as you know i was the former chairman if if if at all what is the housing solution in quotes So my idea is to do a Veterans Village, as you know, Quonset Point has so many different businesses.

And I believe we could start with the people that are protecting us, right? We can protect them when they come home.

Able-bodied men and women, especially with the trades.
