Quinn Costello

Elliott Cadot is the only guy who can get downhill kind of whenever he wants.

I thought he looked so quick in these scrimmages and the ability to collapse a defense like that effortlessly and then have the playmaking to kick out to Trey McKinney and Quinn Costello and Joseph Hartman and J.P. Estrella and Mustafa Cham.

That alone is going to be so crucial for Michigan and a big part of how they operate.

My concern, though... is whether it's enough, of whether he can really sustain that level of creation responsibility.

The three other guys on Michigan that you have to keep an eye on.

Quinn Costello.

Freshman power forward, I guess.

Well, he's got great size as a guard, six, four, six, five, super athletic.

Um, the small forward position is an area of need for mike boynton and i like his defense um he's more of a traditional three that that will fit in really well and you might say but there's other options that you're ignoring joseph hartman showed a lot of potential in europe oscar goodman is is a game changer from a physicality and toughness standpoint And a lot of people love Quinn Costello's three-point shooting.

I do too.

But none of those players is a natural fit at the small forward position.

J.P. Estrella played great.

We got a slight glimpse at Mustafa Tiam, right? You've got Quinn Costello, you know, some stellar freshman transfers that are going to bring a lot to the mix.

And so now it's just on Coach Mike Boynton to just bring all these ingredients together in the right way at the right moment and bake this thing properly.

Yeah, I mean – I think anytime you're going overseas, it's not just about playing basketball.

Well, I agree because, I mean, I'd love to play Quinn Costello at the three.

The dude can shoot.

but he can't play defense.

But let's just say we're going to leave it up to Michigan to make any announcement there.

yeah offensive flow I feel like there are a bunch of different factors with that and we saw bits and pieces with a team full of you know bits and pieces of their full parts in that your European trip like you mentioned that beginning of that first exhibition game against the Lithuanian men's national team we saw the Temple that they want to play at we saw the shooting with Quinn Costello and other guys um you know we saw them getting up and down the floor and then you know there was a bunch in between but then at the end when you needed buckets throughout the the course of that third exhibition game when a bunch of guys were out in when elliot cadeau was in foul trouble again uh the majority of that game it was trey mckinney when possessions were going absolutely nowhere he was able to get a bucket now that was lesser competition in that game so we'll see how it translates but i mean that dude just gets tough buckets and then elliot cadeau was exceptional when he came back from his bout with foul trouble in that game.

So he, I think, has taken the next step in his game, and it starts with those two.

I think that was a unique, nice little test for them in that third exhibition game that they had to take over.

I mean, they essentially were the only two that handled the ball.

and they were making all sorts of plays.

They scored 19 of Michigan's 22 points in the fourth quarter, and the other three points were created by Cadeau on a no-look cross-court pass to Quinn Costello in the right corner for three.

So it was just all Elliott Cadeau and Trey McKinney.

You have Jalen Reed is there.

Quinn Costello is there as well.

This isn't a situation where Boynton is sitting around trying to think about how in the world they're going to have a frontcourt and put it together this season.

Dusty May left Boynton with a very good roster for him to work with.

I'm interested." Like, let me write that name down, circle that.

Um, same feeling for Quinn Costello for Michigan fans.

Just very, like, there's a fun little group of younger players with this team that, um, you know...

And, and look, it all comes down to the big, the big gun, Brandon McCoy, if he's gonna be there.

He does start.

He's maybe more of a one or a two than a three but I think the talent wins out here that if everybody's healthy you still start him at the three or start McKinney at the three and then the last spot I've seen some places think maybe it's another freshman maybe it's a Quinn Costello somebody like that I think it's going to be JP Estrella coming over from Tennessee he's so talented he's coming over from a was a good player in the SEC I think he fits nicely in that front court alongside Chom and and the the bevy of guards that they're going to have.

So to me, that's the starting five.

Obviously, it changes if McCoy's hurt.
