Uh, can you first explain to us what a qui tam lawsuit is?

Yeah, so it's a funny thing, right? Most of the time, a lawsuit, you know, one person sues another person or a company, mostly.

Last year, backing the provision, the 11th Circuit just delivered a major win for whistleblowers and taxpayers alike, Grassley said in a statement.

The False Claims Act is the government's greatest fraud-fighting tool, and patriotic whistleblowers who use the Key Tom provision, Q-U-I-T-A-M, two words, contribute the lion's share of recoveries.

It's not an exaggeration to say this court decision saves billions of taxpayer dollars from being lost to fraud and deters would-be fraudsters from wasting even more.

So we're gonna talk about that a little bit, and then that runs right into what we're gonna talk about with Mauricio.

We're gonna give you guys an update on the case involving the Sweetwater property, which then turned into this other case where there was a qui tam action that was filed, and we'll explain what that is, how you can file one, what they mean, what they're for, what they do.

And that was against Mauricio for allegedly taking out loans to pay back the amount that he had to pay for the Sweetwater deal.

And we went through this in detail in one of our previous episodes, but we're gonna give you a recap and a refresher of all of this and what's going on and then tell you how those lawsuits ended up.

Relator LLC is the literal corporate name of the Delaware plaintiff entity acting as the statutory relator in the qui tam action.
