Queen of Sheba

I do indeed.

I was curious just who the Sabians were, because I've always tended to associate it more with, you know, Saba, you know, the Queen of Sheba, the Yemen area.

And, you know, that's only one of many theories.

I was just curious where you thought they all fit into this.

It's wild how quickly that bias took hold.

It did, and for decades, historians blamed Phoenicians, Arabs, or even the Queen of Sheba for the intricate dry stone walls.

But the truth is far more impressive and entirely indigenous.

Though he knew a great many ladies, and they were all inquisitive.

In Acts chapter 8, an Ethiopian man had traveled a great distance to Jerusalem to worship in the temple.

He was the treasurer for the Queen of Sheba, an influential man.

On his way back home, he was riding in his chariot reading from the book of Isaiah.

Philip had been in Samaria with Peter and John leading the church, having great success.

Actually, he was one of the backbench when I first went there.

We were looking at the Queen of Sheba's palace with the ambassador, at which point his security team suddenly said, the Houthis are coming.

And this was one of the first signs that they were getting to come anywhere near Sana'a.

So who are the Houthis? They are a group of people up from the mountains up in the north of Yemen who are predominantly Zaydis.

In fact, the Queen of Sheba, her son Menelik, who was born from her union, from the Queen of Sheba's union with Israel, King Solomon when she visited Jerusalem.

So basically Menelik brought back with him a whole lot of the senior, well, the firstborn sons of the key men, Israeli or Jewish families from Jerusalem back to the Sabine Kingdom and then across into the part of the Sabine Kingdom, which is now Ethiopia.

So that's why Ethiopia itself also became Jewish until about the fourth century AD.
