Queen Kelly

Right.

Erich von Stroheim's 1928 epic, Queen Kelly, a film starring Gloria Swanson that was brutally halted halfway through its production.

Mercifully halted, you mean.

Brutally.

My stance is simple, mate.

The myth of Erich von Straheim has vastly outpaced the actual quality of the footage.

The book might give him a free pass, but looking at the hard evidence, defending Queen Kelly is just defending a narcissist's ego trip.

It's a right mess.

You know, she watches her own movies.

And so they showed some footage of one of Swanson's actual movies called Queen Kelly.

Directed by Eric von Stroheim, who himself plays Norma's former director and husband, Max von Meierling.

Oh, OK.

Um, and so those, those two will be really, really interesting.

Um, there's also, um, a silent film of what we're showing, uh, Queen Kelly, so that should be quite nice on, on a, on an afternoon.

Wow.

And we have-

Have you seen Queen Kelly? I have heard of that before.

We have two locations, two main locations, which is The Everyman in Bath and the Little Picture House in Bath as well.

But yeah, we've got so many films it's hard to talk about them all.
