I love Queen Azshara.

I remember the very fir- I mean, I, I knew she was, like, bef- and we'll get into it, but I knew she was, you know, um, a Highborne and all that before, um, you know, a naga.

But my first ever interaction with Queen Azshara was her as a naga in, I believe it was Darkshore during that after Cataclysm, uh, quest where she's on top of that, like, mountainous pillar thing.

Yes.

Oh my God, yes.

Yeah, yeah.

You're talking about Azshara's Triumph, which shuffles five random, I think, minions that cost eight or more or something like that.

Oh, okay, yeah, yeah.

And doubles their stats, right?

But a lot of the early Warcraft lore happens on the Eastern Kingdoms because of the Dark Portal.

We know a lot of the Qwalthalos lore because of Azshara and then the High Elves.

And then we know because of Sylvanas, the book.

Mm-hmm.

So this episode, as we mentioned, is already airing now, but as of filming October 3rd.

But next week, we're going to be going back to the Naga because we did Lady Vaj back on episode three.

And now we're going to be doing her Queen Azshara next week.

Not next week, not filming next week.

Yeah.

Yeah, so, um, we have the Darkscale Raiment, the Azshara's Darkscale Raiment, and Azshara's Deepscale Raiment.

And the fact that they used Azshara for this, I mean, it makes sense in terms of, like, the mounts that we have here, the Zothling Darkseeker and the Zothling Deepseeker.

Um, they look like a sort of...

They have a lot of eyes, so a very old god, right? Um, but they definitely look like a manta ray sea creature with tentacles coming off of its head.

Um, but does this feel like foreshadowing maybe?

It does, especially with, um, the next, uh, boss being Kith'ix.

Yeah, um, Kith'ix perhaps having something to do with Azshara or, what was the, the, I think it was the N'Zoth that, that gave her the deal, that cut the deal with Azshara?

Yeah.

But Lady Azshara, Queen Azshara, I should say, and Lady Vaj, they take a very different approach to what the Highborne should be.

Yeah.

And then that's how we kind of get the breaking off from that to become like the High Elves.

But

also she had this relationship.

The family had this relationship with Queen Azshara already.

Yeah.

in blizzard news so the well let's start off with this this um shop item.

So the Azshara's raiment transmog and Zothwing mounts have been added to the in-game shop.

Okay, big whoop.

So dress yourself in Azshara's corrupted regalia and take the disguise on a Zothwing now available in the in-game shop.

Previously datamined in March, players can now dress in Azshara's dark scale raiment or Azshara's deep scale raiment regalia.

These transmog sets cost $20 each in the in-game shop or can be purchased as part of the Abyssal Crown collection.

These sets come with additional visual effects, including moving eyeballs on the shoulder pads and moving tentacles on the back of the helm.

So we've got the two Ashara sets plus the two Zothwing mounts, which are like Old God looking mounts.

So like Wetlands sounds...

I think Agren said in a interview with GameSpot that there's like 30 new quests there, or 25 to 30, and then he said Azshara's another, uh, zone that's been, uh, rejigged a lot with a lot of new quests.

I think we'll have a few select zones that have much bigger changes rather than sort of the epoch route where every zone gets like 10 new quests.

Yeah, I think it's one of those things, though, with that where we all could have guessed that was happening.

Like, you know, nobody could have bet money on Azshara getting more fleshed out, because we all knew it was happening.

Um, and that's why I sort of prioritize when I talk about it, I really emphasize that 1 to 30 experience, because I'm like, I always had no doubt that they'd flesh out the back half of the game a bit more.

But it's, it's arguably and weirdly that 1 to 30 j- uh, route that is so important because so many of us roll so many alts that we [laughs] eventually abandon or, you know, we, we just do a 1 to 20 for a bit of fun over a couple of days and then fucking leave that character in eternity.
