They're saying that the refurbishment is going to introduce a new grill suites accommodation, an elevated wellness offering, enhanced retail and carefully refreshed guest spaces while preserving the ship's distinctive art deco identity and her place as the icon of transatlantic glamour.

Now, I think a lot of people, including a lot of our viewers who have written to us, are really quite relieved with this news because there was the fear that maybe they were going to turn her into Queen Anne and, you know, like modernize her.

And there's something really special about Queen Mary II's interior design that it is so chic, but it's also completely timeless.

You know, it doesn't, I mean, there are hints of art deco, But it doesn't lean in completely.

Yeah.

So the phrase that I think you're referencing is honoring the past, shaping the future.

And I... was relieved when I read that because I was like good because as I said to you and we've said on this show that whilst we both love Queen Anne as a as a ship and as a new concept to me it felt quite naive to kind of build a ship for a new generation when I believe that people younger people especially are just as into the past and the present and And so, you know, so I suggested, and this is purely hypothetical, that because Queen Anne is a kind of pinnacle class ship, she fits perfectly in the Holland America line-up, which is also owned by Carnival Cruise Lines.

So why not offload Queen Anne, send her to Holland America, rebrand her.

They do world cruises, grand voyages and so on.

Queen Anne is a stretch pinnacle class ship which was originally designed for Holland America.

It has a much more contemporary feel.

It's less rich in traditional art decor style and it's clearly designed, I feel, to pull in a newer kind of Cunard cruiser looking for a more modern ship.

If you want the truly unique, iconic experience, it's Queen Mary 2 with no contest.

If you want the classic Cunard feel with more diverse itineraries, go for Queen Victoria or Queen Elizabeth.

But if you want the newest, more modern interpretation of the brand, without a shadow of a doubt, that's Queen Anne.
