Quantum mind

The biological shift.

This is where the evolutionary biology texts merge with the quantum physics, and it brings us to the quantum mind link.

Let's dig into Roger Penrose and Stuart Hamoross's Orchestrated Objective Reduction Theory, or ORCHORR, from the 1990s, because this is where physics meets the squishy reality of the brain.

The Orchard theory is highly controversial in mainstream neuroscience, but it has remained incredibly resilient in physics circles, largely because Roger Penrose is a Nobel laureate who understands the math of the universe better than almost anyone.

It paints a picture of a species intricately linked by biology and physics, a collective intelligence that is essentially immortal.

Because if their minds are directly linked to the quantum fabric of the universe, then even if a single physical body dies on a distant colony, their specific experiences, their memories, and their consciousness are instantly archived within the quantum web of the collective.

The physical body becomes just a temporary vessel for a permanent quantum mind.

I have to say, looking at all these sources together, it fills me with a deep sense of awe, but also an overwhelming existential humility.
