Quantum dot display

It's like-

You have some people that go, "That's the QLED big panel with the back lit eggs."

Yeah.

Sure.

I had it for six years.

That new QLED, Hisense QLED.

Looks crispy.

Yeah, and it's affordable.

If you've got less light, then OLED's great.

If you've got a lot of light, then consider an LED backlit TV, like a Samsung QLED or a Hisense ULED.

They're all kind of the same concept.

But we're seeing TVs start to actually become, I guess, migratable, portable.

JB Hi-Fi is in there as well.

And there's TV after TV after TV.

And I'll look at it and think, why is that one more expensive than this one? So I see QLED, OLED, mini LED – AI, all of those bits.

And so how does anyone work out the difference and which is going to be better for them and which one they can afford and not have to spend a lot of money?

And we think it is greatly replicated on TV until you see the new generation.

So right now it was QLED, which is a sheet over the screen to give you better color contrast.

The next development from there was a mini LED, which means that if you consider a normal LED to be the size of your thumbnail, and mini LED then fits in roughly, say, 10 to 12, and I'm speaking under correction, but just to give you the scale of that.

And now we are introducing RGB, which is red green, blue, right, into each of those mini LEDs.

It's the 75-inch Samsung QN90F.

It's a QLED mini LED TV.

You can get it at Best Buy for $2,000.

And the other thing is it will fit in his cabinet that he was talking about.

Anyone could do tho- A lot of people could do that number.

Don't come and ask fifty K for the d- I need the dowry, I need the furniture, I need the, the, uh, wedding, I need the, uh, the, I need the QLED TV, and I need the honeymoon.

Oh, what the hell? What do you think I am here, right? Huh? Yeah, you think I'm like an espresso machine? I'm just gonna give whatever.

Even if somebody had it, that's not healthy.

It's OLED.

No, it's QLED.

QLED is fake OLED.

You r- you want the actual O.

Yeah, the QLED doesn't really pop.

It kinda has soft tones.

QLED's not gonna pop.

I'm, I'm blanking on the name.

I think it's, like, QLED or something like that.

Oh, yeah, QLED-

Hmm

... that is.

And up until CES this year, that was the case.

And I was on the Samsung display display booth I had a tour around there and mainly focused on the QD OLED TVs but I did see this foldable OLED screen and I just thought wow I cannot see the fold there I can't see whether it creases and lo and behold Samsung have brought out the Galaxy Z Fold 8 And I think it's the first phone, and I don't know why they sent me one because Chris Hall did a review for us, but it turned up and I thought, you know what? I'm going to take advantage of this because I am an Apple user.

I'm in the ecosystem.

Now, I didn't go out as a fanboy and think I must have Apple.

And then think about how you want to use that product.

Now, I see this on TV reviews that we do, and the comment is, it might be an LG TV or whatever that I'm reviewing.

And there'll be the one comment, it'll be one or two words, and I'll just say, well, QD OLED's better.

You can't just say that.
