Tonight, we're going to follow that one idea, reality is a best guess, down gently through three different rooms.

The dreaming mind, the waking one, and strangest of all, the quantum world underneath them both.

And we'll find, I think, that the same odd shape turns up in all three.

Let's stay with the waking mind a moment longer and catch it out.

The facts are out there, surely.

And for a hundred years now, the physics has been quietly, stubbornly declining to say so.

There's a way of reading quantum mechanics.

It has a slightly awkward name, quantum Bayesianism, or QBism for short, and I want to try to give it to you as simply as anyone can because almost nobody ever does.
