Qārūn

But look at the opposite of that is ungrateful servant of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gave us the examples of Qarun.

إِنَّ قَارُونَ كَانَ مِنْ قَوْمِ مُوسَىٰ قَارُونَ was the cousin of Musa alayhi salatu wasalam but because he was very close to Firaun he was given privilege and wealth and he became so rich to a point where he became arrogant he had attitude you know everything I have is because of me myself Sounds very familiar when someone finish their degree, master's degree, PhD, whatever you want to call it, and then they get a great job, well-paid.

A point comes when people ask him, how did you get to the, you know, and he says, you know what, it's... it's me you know i worked hard in my studies i did this i did that you know this is how i got up there forgetting that every favor should be returned back to allah forgetting to say alhamdulillah forgetting to say that allah is the one who helped me to be here where i am so when we when we started referring everything to i myself then Allah SWT sooner or later will show us that He is the one in control.

And this is what happened to Qarun when Allah SWT mentioned in the Quran, When Qarun was asked about his wealth and the power he had and everything, and he said, I was given this because of my knowledge, because I've got the degree, because I've got the power, because I've got the mindset.

You know, because I'm so clever.

That's why Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gave me all this.

So we have Sulaiman a.s. who said, this is the favor from my Lord.

So the presence or the absence of dunya is inconsequential in determining if a person is beloved to Allah.

Could be like Dawud and Sulaiman and could not be like Qarun and Haman and Nimrud and Shaddad and Firaun and etc.

Abu Lahab.

Subhanallah.

All of it was test upon test.

First it was the Pharaoh, then it was this one, then that one, and Qarun, and the other one.

So many different issues.

But then there were good days as well.

One of the villains of the story of Musa in Surah Al-Qasas, Surah number 28.

Qarun says, I earned it through my genius.

I'm such a genius.

I'm such a brilliant businessman.

So each one will get up or be resurrected by Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala based on their intention.

And we also know that before this, Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, who was swallowed up by the earth? Who was it? Qarun.

Qarun.

Harun was swallowed up by the earth.

And until today, he is going down the earth.

He will be raised on the Day of Judgment or Day of Resurrection along with Fir'aun, Haman, Qarun, and Ubay ibn Khalaf.

number three he will enter the fire and be there forever however some of the scholars rather view that such individual in brackets who abandons the prayer has not left the fold of islam and they gave evidence with some texts even though the texts fall in one of five conditions Number one, it would either be basically lacking in proof regarding the issue, such as the saying of some that this, i.e. to rule such an individual as a renegade, contradicts Allah's saying.

Verily, Allah forgives not that partners should be set up with Him, but He forgives except that anything else to whom He wills.

Mm.

Sayyidina Musa on one hand, uh, and Qarun on the other hand.

So all this is in the context of, uh, the Zikr an-Nafs and the attainment of knowledge and wisdom.

Mm.

So Qarun was, Qinda Qaruna kana min qawmi Musa.

Qarun was a member of the community of Sayyidina Musa, mm, when he left Egypt.

He left with them.

And God blessed him with wealth.
