Western Sydney International, how will that impact that competitive landscape? And will it have just an effect for prices out of Sydney, do you think, or will this be beneficial for all of Australia?

So we know that the passenger services are due to begin October this year and that Jetstar is the only domestic airline now, eh, scheduled to commence then with QantasLink in March next year.

And then it's likely to be leisure-led, um, particularly looking at, uh, new international s- Services, uh, servicing Asia and Pacific.

There's no doubt it will start by offering benefits, firstly around Western Sydney, and then more broadly around the Sydney area.

97% of around 650 Qantas ground services workers supported potential action, including stoppages of up to 24 hours amid a dispute that covers pay, job security and safety.

The workers service Qantas Freight and QantasLink rather than mainland domestic and international flights.

No strike dates have been set and the union must provide three days notice.

So don't panic if you are set to go on holiday this week.

Uh, I've got the timeline here.

So in late July, a QantasLink Dash 8 landing and a Qantas 737 came into conflict after conflicting runway clearance instructions.

In early August, we saw the Jetstar A320 almost crashing into the Qatar 777.

And in mid-August, we saw a departing Virgin Australia flight aborting takeoff because Qantas aircraft crossed the active runway ahead of it.

Uh, but they ran into trouble, and we were able to take them over and operate them since...

It was early 2000, 2001, I think, we took over Impulse, and then operated them as a Qantas Link entity, flying the 717s, um, tr- along the east coast of Australia and down to Tasmania.

So we had the decision to make.

It had 14 aircraft.
