The family of the Putney pusher suspect have blamed police over his death, insisting he was innocent.

I don't know if you remember, the driver of the bus was declared a hero because he had literally such sort of sharp shooting responses to pivot the car, and it avoided essentially running over her head or taking her head off.

But there was a huge campaign to find the man.

Nicholas Brandrum was detained at his home in Chiswick, southwest London, in June on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm.

The arrest was linked to a notorious 2017 incident in which a jogger shoved a female pedestrian into the path of an oncoming double-decker bus on Putney Bridge.

So it was really quick.

Police described his death as unexpected, but not suspicious.

We all agree that it is most likely that he took his own life, even though there has not yet been official confirmation of that.

The Sun reported the former army officer was under investigation by police over the Putney Bridge incident in which a jogger pushed a woman into the path of an oncoming bus on the 5th of May 2017.

No charges were brought.

Something like that.

He was just having a jog across Putney Bridge in West London.

And he did push someone, a woman I think, was it? I can't remember the details.

He pushed someone that was sort of in his way.

So we go back nine years with this case and detectives got absolutely nowhere for the best part of nine years until a man was arrested in June of this year in West London.
