So awful.

Um, a cla- a classic case of stolen valor would be I was a Seal, I have a Purple Heart.

I guess to be clear, this is not that.

Remember John Kerry had all those Purple Hearts, and he kept bragging about all those, and it turns out that, you know, he tripped and fell and skinned his knee one time, and he got a Purple Heart for that.

What higher recognition can he get in the Medal of Honor? He had nearly 200 silver medals privately struck and presented to black soldiers from the Army of the James.

He was endlessly pumping water out the ship to stop it from drowning, to stop other people from drowning, despite his own pretty bad wounds.

When he returned, he received the Purple Heart for his bravery, and this was not the type of man investigators had expected to find here.

Fort Wayne's recognition as a Purple Heart City is now displayed on entryway signs throughout the community, city officials announced Wednesday.

The effort to honor the city was led by Joe Wasson with the Allen County Veterans Service Office and Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker.

First established by General George Washington in 1782, the Purple Heart is the oldest military decoration still awarded.
