I know our parents grew up faster than we did, and certainly we grew up faster than our kids did.

And it had a great trailer.

Like Jimi Hendrix's Purple Haze plays during the trailer.

It's just hit after hit of action packed, I don't know, fireworks.

I mean, like there is a roller coaster that derails during this.

So it was profitable and I couldn't imagine the advertising was very high on this one.

Well, apparently for the trailers in the 80s, music stuff like licensing wasn't expensive at all.

So that's why they used Purple Haze from Jimi Hendrix.

I was always fascinated by artists and writers.

And I remember the first time I ever heard Jimi Hendrix and Purple Haze.

And then the next thing you know, I'm understanding Woodstock and then I'm understanding the counterculture revolution and what that means and the anti-war movement.

And then I get to college and I discover Hunter Thompson and the Doors and Francis Ford Coppola and Apocalypse Now.
