Our guest today is Dr. Nikki Ali Jackson, a professor of criminal justice at Purdue University Northwest.

She also runs an amazing program there for the great work of exonerating people who have been wrongly accused.

And she's a true crime commentator and a dear friend of the show.

And I promise every time I'm going to get better.

That's awesome that they're adding women's one.

Arizona State, Georgia, Wisconsin River Falls.

Dr. Jackson serves as the coordinator of the Criminal Justice Program and is a professor of criminal justice at Purdue University Northwest.

She's the executive director of the Center for Justice and Exoneration Network.

Some of Dr. Jackson's teaching areas include domestic violence, sexual assault, victimology, wrongful convictions, ethics, juvenile delinquency, school violence, criminology, and I could go on.

I'll try to go through this real quickly for the men's division one in ACH.

a hockey and number one of course the ohio bobcats the defending champions barry shooty doing a fantastic job with his group there um doug raymond taking over the program um at adrian uh coming in at number two unlv at number three minot stayed at four uh calvin calvin and josh pertuzma coming in at five uh number six of niagara university and uh behind them liberty we'll be talking with kirk candy here in the next day or so as well jamestown university of mary maryville who just jumped up the division one ncaa will also have a a program competing in the acha division one level so good for them you marry as i mentioned grand canyon um university of utah you just go down the list arizona um PNW at Purdue Northwest.

There's just so many good teams right now.

And I think if you get out and have a chance to watch any of these games, you're really going to enjoy them.

We just heard from Faith Quinn last week on the Sports Rundown, and they were just in action this past weekend.

Yeah, they took on Purdue Northwest at Ultra Federal Credit Union Stadium.

Very interesting match to start.

Kind of a long goal from Sophia Carbone to get the offense going for Northwest to start things off.

They outshot Winona State on goal, 3-2, but it was kind box score would actually say it's pretty even game so far two saves for Purdue Northwest 0 for Winona State they also out kicked them in the corner 4 to 1 and then it was just it felt like you kind of got away from them early while I was at this game Sophia Carbone Also, Carbone had another goal at the 22-minute mark, as well, assisted by Mia Davis.

And then, Winona State had a couple of chances, a couple of attempts on goal, but just really couldn't finish any of them.

Offense has been kind of the question mark for them, especially after their loss last Thursday against University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Definitely something that's kind of hard to kind of look back on, especially last year's matchup between that same team being 2-1 in favor of your guys' team.

What's the new mentality now going into this next matchup against Purdue Northwest?

Um, yeah, I think for us, obviously that there needs to be change, um, and kind of how we prepare for it too.

Um, so just coming to practice with like an open mind, um, hoping that our coach does bring that to the table too.

So

no matter what side of that, probably that would be my favorite one to be a part of.
