Punta Gorda Isles

Director Ron Everts notes that seeing families' lives sitting at the curb after flooding is heartbreaking, but that hardship fuels his team's dedication.

Public Works maintains 55 miles of canals and 109 miles of seawall essential infrastructure for Punta Gorda's flood-prone neighborhoods like Punta Gorda Isles.

The department isn't just reactive.

They're investing in solutions like a new barge staging site for seawall repairs and collaborating with consultants on flood mitigation projects.
