He muffed one this week and just got back on it.

He's 27th, I think, coming into this game last night in punt return yards.

You know, as good as this offense is, they can score 30, 35 a game.

I think I'd put somebody who's just super sure-handed back there and not worry about, you know, a big return.

I don't know if I want a dynamic return guy.

I want a guy – I'd put Juice back there if I could just make sure I had somebody who could catch it.

I mean, what do you think of cowing? Do you think the nine – when Mayoko asked Shanahan about cowing, you know, are you going to make a change at the punt returner spot? This is last week.

He didn't say no.

Let me get your thoughts on this.

I don't know if you were listening yesterday to the stream or the radio, but I got caught up with Justin Ena, talked with him, chatted, had a chat about Tiger Bachmeier, the mistakes, right? There has to be accountability.

Even the great Parker Kingston, you know, got-- he ha-had to grab some pine punt returning, right? When you make mistakes, it's just the way it goes, um, when you're dangerous with the football, um, or when you commit, as Ben would say, the cardinal sin.

But he told me he's expecting Cannon DeVries to be back on Saturday, uh, in that punt returner spot.

And if some reason Cannon can't go, Preston Rex was a name that came up as well.

Give me your thoughts on that.

So this, this is the comment from, uh, The Man in the House, or The Man is in the House.

He asked the question, "Why hasn't Lutmer been punt return?" Uh, ironically enough, I, I just asked Phil that question about an hour ago.

And so, um, I, I asked him basically, you know, Evan James has had his ups and downs in punt return.

You know, he muffed a punt this past week.

Could've been a real disastrous play.

Good, good question here from, from, uh, Philly Too Tall says, "Why not Brayden Jackson for punt returns?" That's a great question.

Yes.

There was some things that you want to constructively criticize, be it punt return, be it, uh, uh, refs.

If you want to point the finger at refs, you were pretty toed about the reffing, uh, the umping that was, uh, being, uh, in the decision that were employed there.

And then maybe the fourth down play calls.

Trust me.

I've muffed punts.

I've made bad decisions on punt return.

And you know what? Like, I got benched for a season until, or I benched for a time before I got back in.

I'm telling you, back in the day, I had got selected for the first player in NFL history to, to, to start in the Pro Bowl for two positions.

It was, it was wide receiver and punt return.

And punt return, yeah.

And he, like, made a comment, man, that just was like, he was like, "I, I don't feel like he deserve that." Like, I'm like, "You my quarterback, why would you, why, why would you say a receiver don't deserve that?" You know what I'm saying? So it was, that was just some hatred shit.

I'd be pissed about that too.

I thought they was gonna kick it outside the stadium, man.

I'm sitting back there like, "Man, there is no way in hell this dude is gonna punt me the ball." Like, at the times, at the time I wasn't even doing punt return full time.

And I was pretty close.

Auburn is fourth in the country in total – Net total punt return yards at negative three.

New Mexico is the dog at negative eight.
