M
43:33Mark StuckerHOST

M

So I'm going to go back to a couple of the initial points of the question, right? How do you determine whether SAT or ACT is better for you as a test taker? First, I would say that if you're using the PSAT as a way to determine, it's absolutely true that the PSAT today is a much closer correlation with the actual SAT than any version of the PSAT ever was.
M
44:56Mike BerginGUEST
You remember back in the day, we used to have all kinds of crazy math.

Well, I'd have to say morphology right now because, um, the kids, it was something new that they had been exposed to.
V
9:39VanessaSOUNDBITE_SPEAKER
But as we prepare for, like, the PSAT and any of those exams, um, I-- we introduced the word matrix, like the morphology matrix ladder, and they actually loved it.
V

E
41:55Ethan MintoHOST
You know, I've been, I've been doing PSAT practice and one of the stats that comes up in one of the questions that I've been doing is this statistic that more and more fantasy books are being written and published and bought by kids, and I wonder if maybe authors are kind of pi- pivoting towards fantasy just because of the fact that in realist- in terms of realistic fiction it's so tough to keep up with what kids are saying.
E
42:15Ethan MintoHOST
And I think that there should 100% be realistic fiction books out there.
E
42:19Ethan MintoHOST
