Psalm 99

Exodus 25, verse 2.

Psalm 99, verse 1.

And he that sat on it was to look upon like jasper and sardine stone.

That is, of an olive color, the people of Judea being of that color.

And having been saved by the grace of God, we are sent into the world as His servants." Exodus 3, Moses before the holy God.

Psalm 99, verse 9, the Lord is holy.

John 12, 41, Isaiah saw Christ's glory.

Hebrews 12, 28, and 29, our God is a consuming fire.

So I'm excited to finally delve into the- the triple digits of the Psalms.

We've been going through the Psalms for over a year at this point.

Though you took vengeance on their deeds, exalt the Lord our God and worship at his holy hill, for the Lord our God is holy.

So is Psalm 99.

Notice in that Psalm that the Lord's always listening.

He's always there.

So that ends the, I think we're going to get through this, Psalm 98.

Now we're going to go into Psalm 99.

No author is identified.

And again, I think this is about Jesus.

I was going to get the scripture because it would be.

I think it might be in Genesis about it's a footstool that till all nations are made a footstool or something like that.

I'm going to just search footstool and see if I can find that in blueletterbible.org. And, you know, it's certainly Psalm 99.

And in Psalm 110, it says that, this is David saying this, of David a Psalm, the Lord, Y-H-W-H, says to my Lord, sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.

Verse 10.

Psalm 99, verse 1.

The Lord reigneth, let the people tremble.

He sitteth between the cherubims.

There is a structure to it.

And we are going to be reading Psalm 99, but Psalm 99 actually is part of a mini section, 93 to 99, that speaks about the theme of Of the reign of the heavenly king.

So Psalm 93 starts with the Lord reigns.

He's robed in majesty.

Let the many coastlands be glad.

And this is a section about the kingship of Christ as he reigns in the heavens.

And Psalm 99, which Ryan is going to read, closes that out.
