The voice behind Jefferson, the hidden voice at the heart of the French Revolution and of the American Revolution is a rationalist philosopher, Baruch Spinoza, who is in his very dry, Prose, the designer of this idea that the Bible, used in the Middle Ages and up to the Renaissance, as the central unifying and codifying text that established how God and religion should be seen, should be put in the background in that reason, logic, and A old orderly life, morality without one single religion, but morality as a human endeavor should be taken at the center and not being kidnapped by that church or that synagogue or that mosque or any other religion.

So Jefferson is really the voice of, the mind that allows us to have that distancing that is crucial.

I would like just very briefly to also read a text from a Not always, not contemporary, not exact contemporary, but an equally important thinker.
