Prophetic imagination

I'm Tim Gombis, and this is "Faith Improvised." It's a podcast where I can think out loud and talk with friends about things that interest me: books, films, sports, music, culture, politics, the wonders and complexities of being Christian in this world, and my academic discipline, biblical studies.

You're welcome to email me if you like at faithimprovised@gmail.com.

In this episode, I talk about some of the Old Testament narratives that shape Paul's autobiographical comments in Ephesians 3.

Um, just so much fun.

They're-- I, I'm so spoiled and I'm so lucky to have kids that I just really like and, um, that I find really interesting and that I just love being around.

And my daughter also flew up, uh, from Phoenix and spent a couple days with us, and we just, we explored, uh, Portland, took some fun walks, um, went to some bookstores, just walked around town, had some great meals, some great ramen, great sushi, and yeah, Portland's got some great food.

Um, apparently, um, the sort of the, the barriers to entry for restaurants and food trucks in Portland is quite low, and so the food scene there is really thriving, and we just so enjoyed it.

Had a wonderful time.
