Prophecy

So that's the first tafsir.

The second tafsir, which is actually the majority tafsir, is that Maryam was asking Allah to die before that because of the slander that would come and what would happen to the aspersions that would be cast towards the people of deen, the people of Nubuwwah, the people of religion, and the people of prophethood.

The slander that would come would be delegitimizing in its nature.

"So it was not that Maryam wanted to die because of the pain, right? It's because of something else.

Then there was Zayd bin Amr bin Nufail.

He met Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam before the Nabi of Allah got Nubuwwah.

And he was a Muwahid.

He would stop the Quraysh from indulging in the worshipping of the idols.

Adam a.s. had a spouse, he was happy, there was peace, they could eat whatever they wanted.

But, فَآزَلْ لَهُمَا الشَّيْطَانُ عَنْهَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِمَّا كَانَا فِيهِ Despite being a Nabi of Allah, Rabbul Izzati wal Jalal, later on he was a Nabi of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, which means he had qualities within him of Nubuwwah, before he even became a Nabi of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.

Yet, he's in Jannah, And he has everything, Shaytan manages to make them slip.

So they ate from the tree.

I'll give you an example from the life of the best of creations, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

When the Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, before Nubuwwah, before prophethood, Aisha radiyaAllahu ta'ala anha makes mention that the Prophet ﷺ, حُبِّبَ إِلَيْهِ الْخَلَى that the Prophet ﷺ would just... isolation was the most beloved thing to him.

In the cave of Hira, the Prophet ﷺ would go and isolate himself there, doing one thing and one thing alone, connecting to the Creator.

Building that foundation.

He said, "No, these two orphans have to be paid." Abu Bakr as-Siddiq Radi Allahu Anhu comes, and he says, "O Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, what's the price that they're offering?" He said, "Ten dinars." He says, "Take it from me.

I'm purchasing this land." Hence, all of the amaal that take place, that took place in Masjid an-Nabawi during the era of Nubuwwah, as well as all of the good deeds that have taken place over the last fourteen hundred years, and all of the deeds that are currently taking place in Al Madinah, and all the deeds that will take place ila yawm al-Qiyamah, all of it is It is all going back to the account of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq Radi Allahu Anhu.

I don't know of any investor in the annals of history who was more fortunate, who was more calculated and wise than Abu Bakr as-Siddiq Radi Allahu Anhu when he purchased Al Masjid an-Nabawi.

Today, you go and you see thousands upon thousands of people for every single salah.

It is our duty to read the seerah, look into Masjid an-Nabawi, what were the various programs, activities that were taking place in Masjid an-Nabawi.

And we want to replicate that in our masajid wherever we come from.

When our masajid will be ala manhaj an-Nubuwwah, they will be according to the prophetic guidelines.

We will be doing the same things that the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was doing in Al-Masjid an-Nabawi.

It's impossible.

Now, there's a, a s- story that, about a Jewish rabbi that Al-Bayhaqi, Imam Al-Bayhaqi mentions in his book, the Dalail an-Nubuwwah, the Proofs of Prophethood.

He mentions a story about a Jewish rabbi, right? It was at the time of Al-Ma'mun, I believe, the Caliphate Al-Ma'mun.

And he saw this Jewish rabbi, there was a sitting, there was a gathering, and he sat down, and he was very eloquent in speech, right? Very intelligent, eloquent, eloquent in speech, intelligent.

Or let's test this out.

It's one of the proofs of, of Nubuwwah.

that these people, they came for Hajj one year, and they heard about Nabi ﷺ, they went to him, they visited him, they heard about what he's preaching, and they agreed to host him in Al-Madinah al-Munawwarah.

And so in the twelfth year of Nubuwwah, you had six people come from Madinah who pledged allegiance to Nabi ﷺ, and this was known as Al-Bay'at al-Aqabah al-Ula, the first pledge of Bay'at al-Aqabah.

The following year, in the 13th year of Hijrah, 13th year of Nubuwa, before Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam migrated, you had 70 people come from Medina, who again pledged their allegiance to Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.

So we could see that before even Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam migrated to Medina, he already had the support of the people from Al-Medina Al-Munawwarah.

And Makkah would have a key interest in wanting to know what happened, right? We didn't live in a communication and digital age like we do, where you get, you know, by the second news, they had to wait for news to come.

After Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam declared Nubuwwah, there was even greater interest now because the Muslims had a greater... let's say, resonance with the Romans and the pagans, like I explained, identified more with the Persians.

So the news reached.

That not only did the Persians defeat the Romans, but they inflicted upon them a massive defeat.
