It's the best way to support the show.

So in 2000, while playing rugby, 16-year-old Henry Cavill met actor Russell Crowe, who was shooting on location at Stowe, where his boarding school was, for the film Proof of Life.

And the actor shared some acting tips and later sent Cavill a package, and the two actors would later work together on Man of Steel.

So that was a little, you know, cute run-in.

it's a surprisingly deep cast actually you have gibson and gary sinise and donnie walberg and a handful of other people and the other is probably uh proof of life with russell crowe and meg ryan which is a different kind of kidnapping that's um somewhere in south america i want to say columbia but don't quote me and the gorillas kidnap americans there all the time so much so that you know kidnapping is part of a business it's a whole thing anyway one of the things that those stories do fundamentally understand to one degree or another they they fumble the ball in different places but what's going on with the kidnappers is an important component of what makes these stories tick yeah this movie never puts us over there never introduces us to the kidnappers never shows us what's going on over there and you can if you choose not to do that that can be made to work in your favor be very clear but you have to be a lot defter with what you're doing than this where they don't have the narrative momentum or the story to support it like this what this is a better episode of television if you're going to do it in this uh perspective than it is a 90-minute movie or however long this thing was i

yeah and that that's kind of where this movie winds up falling flat is there's nothing here really worth engaging with there's nothing here to draw you in the performances are a little uneven uh very up and down in ways that you wouldn't necessarily expect you don't get invested in the kidnapping plot you don't get invested in ben affleck's ambitions you don't get invested in anything it's just a sequence of events frequently that barely connect to each other in any sort of real capacity
