Product placement

So I did wanna talk about...

Yeah, so I- I personally think that whole product placement scene is the, subjectively the funniest scene in the whole movie because it's-

Little.

Yellow.

I don't care.

I feel like it's hilarious for multiple reasons, because it's funny on its own.

Um, like, it's, it's, it's doing product placement but mocking product placement at the same time.

Yes.

They're like glued in there

... it's product placement.

Probably.

I'm probably reading way too much into it.

... that's really prominent in the screen is the butter one.

It's literally a stick of butter and it's talking about butter on the poster.

It's like the USDA jumped in here and started doing product placement.

Where was this, and where, where is this episode compared to the one in the linings of where they're shaving with the butter, or Kramer b- bastes himself and they have to throw a stick of butter in?

And this is why anytime I see product placement in a movie, my mind always goes back to this scene.

Always.

Since I was a kid, because of this movie, product placement and this, there's an egregious bit in Smallville, the show Smallville, always got to bring it back to Smallville, where they start, they're being sponsored by...

Oh, what's the Old Spice? They're being sponsored by Old Spice.

And so for some reason, Old Spice, they have Old Spice banners at Smallville High School.

So this, this scene really took me aback.

Talking about Hollywood, they've got a very big product placement scene.

Did you clock that?

No, I didn't.

And there's a scene where they're in the car, and it's raining, and you see a big golden arch in the background.

And I was like, of all the places, it felt like a deliberate kind of product placement.

I actually kind of fucking hate that.

I know it's product placement, but it kind of looks really fun.

Yeah.

You get a talking shelf voiced by Matt Berry.

Then the whole thing came out.

But you know what I mean? It's just

like it's a product placement that does not make sense.

Just Jon Snow's like.

But that kind of like threw me.

I was like, okay, they're doing brand placement in this now.

Like that didn't happen in the first.

That to me was not like the world of the Owens.
