While Implicit and Mesh are great and interesting and have their own upsides, we fundamentally live in a B-Rep world.

PLM expects B-Rep, your assemblies expect B-Rep, manufacturing expects B-Rep. in addition to existing tools not providing you manufacturing intent and constraint at the beginning, you're stuck with those outputs, right? If we want to increase the adoption of this sort of approach, we need to make it easy to integrate this approach.

And that's one of the, that's where we see this B-Rep output as incredibly, incredibly helpful.

So, We can make steps, but we also are able to integrate directly with NX, SOLIDWORKS, CATIA, and Fusion, Creo is on the map, and create actual native CAD with editable feature trees.

And without a unified digital thread, with an integrated platform, no manufacturer, however capable, can keep pace with the speed and pace of change.

The pressure is the backdrop to what Gartner identified in their 25 market guide for PLM in food and beverage.

The guide's well worth the read and recognized the challenges, concluding there was an increased need for product lifecycle platforms.

It recognized that without a trusted data platform, manufacturers are struggling now and in the future will seriously limit their ability to utilize advanced analytics and harness the power of AI.

So why is food doing it differently? The answer is that food is genuinely different and understanding why is key to understanding what a good system looks like.

A recipe is not a fixed design, it evolves constantly, ingredients vary by season, nutritional profiles shift, allergens require vigilance and HFSS, UPF and everything else adds a different and more complex layer with every retailer wanting a different format.

The shift that's going on at the moment is to a distinct PLM category, which involves putting the food into PLM, what we call at Point74, FLM.

And across the industry, forward-thinking manufacturers are beginning to adapt to this way of working.

But generally, everyone kind of got on board pretty quickly.

I think that's important to hear because, you know, depending on your company and actually even really well-established companies are still in early days of like doing things like PLM life cycles, SNOP process, SNOP.
