In Pro Stock, KB Titan Racing, they finally got back up on the horse after Elite Motors short swept the first three races of the countdown as defending world champion Dallas Glenn picked up win number five on the season going back-to-back at Texas Motor Bikes by defeating Matt Arford with a 6.478 at 212.30 miles per hour.

Reclaimed the Pro Stock points lead by just 14 points over Greg Stanfield.

That's less than a round difference.

and complete a weekend that saw him break the national pro stock elapsed time record with a blistering run on Saturday of 6.43.4 at 213.50 miles per hour.

And pro stock motorcycle would be Matt Smith keeping his record seventh world championship flips alive by collecting his fourth win of the year, second in Texas motorbikes, and 46th career win over points leader and defending world champion Richard Gadsden by running a 6.66.0. at 203.08 mph to defeat Gadsden's quicker 665.4 at 203.79 mph on a 006 full shot.

Smith

is now also third in points, with two races left, sitting just 85 back.

The announcers noticed it.

John Hall, who won the Pro Stock motorcycle, he said that seeing the stands full on a Monday was really cool.

Heck yeah, Michigan showed up on Monday.

He is the reigning defending world champion, has led the point standings all year, and is now three races away from closing out a second consecutive title in just three seasons in this class.

but, you know, so I work for Vance & Hines.

When I got this opportunity, uh, to ride their Pro Stock motorcycle, I asked them for a job as well.

I was like, "Listen, I, I kinda need to be able to merge the two lifestyles," 'cause there's no way I could meet the demands of the NHRA schedule and still fend for myself off the racetrack.

They didn't make them for that long, and they really dominated Trans Am in 1970.

They had some Pro Stock wins throughout the years.

In my opinion, the '71 Boss 351 is about the greatest small block that came out of that era, as far as potential.

And so, for historic victories and general legacy, they're gonna score a little bit low, at a three.

Of course, the Holley Dominator carburetor was developed specifically for that big block Ford.

The Boss is basically a hemi-headed Ford, and they are so super cool.

Also, Bob Glidden's Pro Stock march through the '80s was powered by Boss 429s.

[laughs] This is another one from Brian Lohnes that I gotta point out.

He can continue to do it and continue... can continue to be one of the best that's ever done it.

Does Corey eventually seek a different challenge and try to go NHRA racing? Does he try to get into a Pro Stock or a Pro Mod or something? Like, does he have...

I just wonder with that because he's still...

Corey's still really young.

Yep.

Yeah, but he's accomplished a lot, but he has also learned a lot just in life and being around the right people.

And I feel like if Corey Gulitti decided he wanted to run a Pro Stock, Corey Gulitti could get in a Pro Stock.

Maybe not in 2027.

But Prock has definitely turned it around.

In Pro Stock Elite Motorsports, they've also turned it around in the Countdown.

There's three races in the Countdown and three wins.

This time it was Aaron Stanfield taking out the points leader and his father Greg Stanfield, who won last week at Rockingham.

It gives Aaron Stanfield three wins on the year and 17-- it's his 17th career win.

Father Greg builds his points lead to 71 points over reigning world champion Dallas Glenn and by 81 points over Matt Hartford.

And in Pro Stock Motorcycle, it was Gage Herrera collecting his fourth straight win at Gateway, defeating teammate and reigning world champion Richard Gatson with a 671.0 at 200, at 200.98 miles per hour to defeat Gatson's 676.3 at 200.08 miles per hour.

Gatson still holds the points lead, but it's now down to just 32 points over Herrera with three races to go.

But transmission gears and anywhere there's any friction caused there, it will help there.

I mean, if you've ever seen, if you've ever seen the, uh, toolbox at a Pro Stock, at the Pro Stock drag car at the, uh, uh, at the races.

They're over there, they open their box up there, and they've got, like, 50 gears in there they're-

Something every more now, like it-

Uh, he did it with a 3.906-second run at 329.9 miles an hour.

And in Pro Stock, Aaron Stanfield prevailed in a rare father-son final, uh, against his father Greg, uh, driving his Chevy Camaro to the victory.
