I, I re- recorded Prison Bound.

That got some notoriety.

We got s- uh, an A&R guy from Sony, uh, who signed us to Epic, and, and, and we did that first album.

No, we're good.

Okay.

Um, in the past, on, on, in any, our sing- first singles, uh, Prison Bound, uh, when we had 12 songs, we went and recorded them.

Right.

Their use of dissonant chords and syncopated rhythms echoed the chaos of street gangs fighting for turf on the cracked pavement of Westminster.

When you compare that to Social Distortion’s Prison Bound, the themes shift but remain rooted in a desire to escape institutional confinement.

It was almost a philosophy—a rejection of authority, yet an acknowledgment that there was some kind of order out there if you knew how to find it And so when bands like The Offspring started mixing punk riffs with power pop hooks, they carried forward an idea that punk could be both a voice and a catchy chorale.

well this this song i think is very specifically if you read it it's about addiction getting over the other side and being sober and he because he's definitely you could tell that's very important to him his sobriety is everything because it's saved his life obviously i mean the guy you know was in prison for a while and everything and he definitely he could he he should by all rights probably be dead

or like the album is called prison bound yes you know records.

And yeah, you know, I didn't mention, it's funny, we did way back, we did the Adolescence, the Adolescence record and that song, Kids in the Black Hole in the 80s.

Yeah, Ness lived, he was the original renter of that one bedroom apartment that that song is about in Kids in the Black Hole.
