Printer's Alley

I guess we are, right? I think we kind of are.

Is Printer's Alley considered old Nashville? It could be.

OK, so let's just let's just go with that for a minute.

Let's just say that these dirtbags decide that they won't go into this safety zone around Bridgestone and the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Ryman Auditorium and Printers Alley.

So there's a lot of people that still walk around Sixth Street and Peabody Avenue and, you know, Dumumbrian outside of this little safety zone.

So they could just go elsewhere.

And it just, it, it didn't feel right because I wasn't experienced enough to lead a band.

But while I was there, uh, I went to, to, uh, Printer's Alley in a place called The Electric Circus.

There was this, this huge, loud band on stage with this drummer who was right up front, and they had horns, and they sang high, and B3 organ, and, uh, electric guitar.

And, and my buddy who went up there with me, he, he went up on their break and asked them if, if, if they would let me sit in, and I did.

But the reason that I'm nice to them like that, when I was 17 years old, my high school girlfriend, daddy owned a bar downtown Nashville.

It's called Printer's Alley.

It's called the Carousel.

and I'd go wash glasses after school to get paid.

But there was just places...

There was Printer's Alley, you know? I mean, they probably still have that, but it's like...

I mean, it was like a thriving music mecca, and there were...

I mean, if you wanted to, you could play and get paid to play music six nights a week, play four sets a night.

But the reason that I'm nice to them like that, when I was 17 years old, my high school girlfriend, daddy owned a bar downtown Nashville.

i did have ready um so like going to the race like going to the race like everybody thinks there's a a lot of people went into the race thinking there was a chance they could win they could do well i i I had an outside hope that maybe I could last a long time and outlast a bunch of people.
