Prince of Persia

Domar is up and down like a yo-yo.

I mean, for every Prince of Persia and Klax and Star Wars, you got some crappier games.

I would put this on the crappy side.

The developer of this is called The Kremlin.

And, you know, I think that this game, um, tries to varying degrees of success.

Like it is definitely taking some cues from Prince of Persia, the lost crown, which for me from, at least from like a gameplay design perspective, um, That's still the gold standard for me of, of like Metroidvanias in terms of like all of the abilities had combat potential, had traversal potential, had puzzle solving potential.

Like I, I love that stuff.

And this game, I think kind of flirts with that, but I don't think like your, you know, your traversal mechanics are all pretty good.

I haven't played that game since it was new, but I really liked it at the time.

Yeah, me too.

But yeah, I really enjoyed the platforming, but I do think It's interesting because the platforming doesn't feel as good as, say, like Prince of Persia or The Lost Crown, which I think is like...

That is kind of the most obvious direct comparison I think this game has.

But yeah, see, that's what it is, right? Like...

I just wonder if changing it and giving you those options will change the experience essentially itself, right? Obviously, I wonder if it's like something that, you know, it's a bit like Prince of Persia where you have to rewind to fix a problem or something, right? But a bunch of games use that mechanic.

But I mean...

I just feel like certain things might...

I can't think of another one, but anyway.

And so to get to Ian, to where you will finally unearth the secret of why have you erased your own memory? you have to traverse this kind of jungle level so the gameplay in Flashback a bit Prince of Persia I guess you would say

I'd say yeah it's got that jump but it's almost it's a little bit too major as well because like you actually need to make the jump like it's not like Mario you can't double jump in the air kind of you know

It reminds me of Prince of Persia, the fluidity of the animation.
