You know, if you're trying to be efficient, just, you know, my answer to that would be, you know, have your materials prepped.
Charlie CravenHOST
26:45
And the thing with that is, you know, from a commercial tying standpoint, like if I sit down and I am going to tie, you know, Prince Nymphs or Copper Jones or whatever, and I pre-cut all the wire and I set out all my biots and I cut all my thin skin and I set everything out, Um, that time counts also that, that wasn't, you know, I'm not tying a fly at that moment, but that's still time.
Charlie CravenHOST
27:04
That's one, you're on the clock.
Charlie CravenHOST
27:05
That's one evening that you're doing that.
KyleHOST
6:30
Everything works sometimes, I guess.
KyleHOST
6:32
But, um- But when you said, said that, Beav, about like kinda going back in the, in time, so to your point, like I was talking to Dave the other day, he was talking about like going back, throwing on like Prince Nymphs and stuff, and I thought that was a good idea 'cause when I was learning how to fly fish, you know, couple years after Pono Me got started, but hitting a lot more stocked waters and stuff, dude, Prince Nymph was one of the first flies I'd throw on for trout, and I don't fish them ever anymore.
KyleHOST
6:58
And so it's one of those things where I took what you were saying, Beav, as like cyclical in the sense of even the f- fly rotation for us, our own fly boxes, you get into this pattern of we have a short-term memory where it's like, "Oh man, this was amazing this day," so then you tie up f- 20 of those and you f- get really dialed in, and then all of a sudden that turns into 5 or 10 patterns, and those original 5 or 10 patterns start to slowly get pushed out of the box and you don't even realize it.
BeaverHOST
7:28
Interesting.
KyleHOST

So when Dave brought up Prince Nymphs, I'm like, "Oh my God, yeah, we should be fishing more Prince Nymphs for steelhead."
BeaverHOST
7:33
Well, you know who's been doing that the whole time? My dad.
KyleHOST
7:36
I already knew that answer.
KyleHOST
7:38
[laughs]
EliHOST
22:30
You've got some flies.
EliHOST
22:31
And by the way, when you go to buy flies, there's all kinds of crazy, you know, the Chubby Chernobyl and the Pat's Rubberlegs and the, you know, I can't even think of, you know, Prince Nymphs and Parachute Adams and all these crazy names, but they all kind of fall into one of these categories.
Christa ClasgensGUEST
22:47
Yeah.
EliHOST
22:49
But so you got some flies.
