Reepicheep expresses these longings and it's so interesting because remember he's the valiant warrior that one that in our culture we're told you know men don't cry men don't have feelings be tough and Reepicheep is valiant and fierce but the longing of his heart is on his shirt sleeve and it is a beautiful thing and there's much we can learn from that So one of the things about this book, it was written in 1950, and it was actually completed even before The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, the first of the books, was published.
