Primer

I'm not a fan of it.

But Primer, I like Primer.

But anyway, the point is, like I said, by modern Hollywood standards, $700,000 is not a lot of money.

But I think a talented person can make a good movie with $700,000.

He's only made two movies.

Have you ever seen that diagram of what happens in the film Primer, the time travel film? Yes, yeah.

I'm trying to get in touch with them, see if they can

crack the code of this one.

More famously, uh, around about the same time, there's Lars von Trier's film Melancholia, about dreadful rich people, um, as the Earth is about to be destroyed by a planetary collision or something like that.

Um, or, or low-budget time travel movie like Primer, the Shane Carruth movie, where there's nothing spectacular.

It's just awful people who develop a time machine and then become involved in, uh, conflicts and what have you.

And one of the key things that it picks up, which is much more conventional in time travel movies, is that one of the characters, time travelers, the, the one who is more obviously mad, um, he keeps going back to the same moment in time to try and play it out perfectly, to get the perfect version of that moment in time.
