I'm playing bad soap right now and like why does every this is unrelated to anything why does every character in the new modern warfare game sound the exact same do they get the same voice actor to do every character they all just sound like this

this is something so funny because if you compare first game and the third game in the first game Captain Price is like bravo six going dark right in game three It's like they told their voice actors to eat gravel when they're recording.

Because in Modern Warfare 3, it goes, Brothers,

it's

going

dark.

Ghost, Soap, and Price sound the exact same.

Which is ridiculous, because one of them's Scottish, one of them's British.

I will say, if you haven't played it, broad strokes, it's divided into this one joint squad of South Korean soldiers and U.S. Marines.

And then the other half of the campaign, it kind of jumps back and forth between Price's story again.

Price's missions kind of take on this James Bond spy thriller thing, whereas the South Korean, North Korean set firefights are more like a Band of Brothers vibe.

Yeah, the price stuff feels very like there's like some John Wick type, you know, you're like a nightclub and stuff.

And there's like, you know, hand to hand stuff going on where it's like you're almost like parrying in first person, which is funny because I remember that was the big thing for Call of Duty 3 back in the day is like up close and personal, like kind of melee combat.

This seems a little more simplistic, but it's very John Wick-like.

Like, Captain Price is on some John Wick.

And the game story kind of breaks itself into like two campaigns within a campaign.

So you have the Captain Price stuff.

from Modern Warfare 1 through 3, where he's trying to wrap things up.

So he's going to take out Makarov, and he's going to take out the Archer.

Makarov dies.

He dies at the end.

Price kills him.

In this series, he dies in four.

Okay.

Seeing Captain Price at the end dead was kind of heartbreaking for me.

He died? Yeah.

I didn't know that.

And now for the new Modern Warfare, Ghost is like the last one of Task Force 1 for 1 to see everyone else around him go down.

Like, oh man, it brought me to my feels.

It made me my little kid version of version of myself was like yes Ghost is alive but it's like at what cost and that's it and there's a Call of Duty movie now and it's like being developed and I'm like who's going to pick up the price there's only one guy that can do it it's Captain Price he can act I'm sure he can act he can already do it in a game it's just mocap but put him into an actual movie

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 continues the rebooted Modern Warfare storyline with players caught in a major international conflict, the campaign follows multiple perspectives including the return of fan favourite Captain Price delivering the series trademark mix of cinematic set pieces, intense firefights and globe-trotting military action.

What's interesting though is that despite the excitement around the campaign, the review scores have come in a little lower than I expected certainly, currently sitting at a 77 on OpenCritic.

A lot of people seem to agree that the campaign is one of the strongest parts of the package, so I don't know, it makes me wonder if the low score is more a reflection of franchise fatigue than the quality of the game itself.

I played that game and I really enjoyed it, but I could not tell you.

Besides Captain Price and the regular teams of guys running around shooting stuff, I could not honestly tell you what the fuck any of the story was in that game.

One of them has a skull for a face, right? Yeah.
