... more towards this is a great world, right? Like, Portal, people have been dreaming about making a Portal movie for a long time.

Dan Trachtenberg, who did, um, Prey and that other Predator movie that recently came out, uh, he directed The Boys episodes.

He, he, he broke out in the industry from doing a Portal fan film, Portal: No Escape, um, which was really, like, a tech demo.

Let's see this, the, the, the, the portal gun in practical live action use.

Like, he kind of, like, knows all the details and everything, and, like, people just come to him.

He's kind of become that for Predator, because he did Prey, and then he did Killer of Killers, and then he did this.

Which all three are incredibly different sides to that whole world, and...

Look, nerd me loves this and I'm going to go on all the expanded material and things that they took from this and everything.

They're like, we already risked the name recognition with Prey.

That was already risky enough.

Their pitch was, and this is for Predator Prey.

So Dan Trachtenberg made an awesome film.

I love that film.

Prey, Killer of Killers, and Badlands.

I was going to say, you're not going to count the...

And as much as I love Shane Black, I think Shane Black's film is maybe the worst of the franchise as the whole.

I know there's a lot of love for Prey and Predator Badlands and Killer of Killers.

But personally, I haven't been enthralled or even remotely wowed by any of the new stuff.

So I think a bit like yourself when you were talking about Planet of the Apes last week...

I think Predator for me is Predator, and I never, ever go back and watch any of the

sequels.

Yeah, well, that's really how I feel, because my overriding point was, for all the others, Predators, The Predator, Prey, all the rest of them, I sort of think, well, what's the point? Because is it going to be...

better than the first one, you know, the proper one.

Yes.

Then Prey, the one that went straight to streaming.

That was the same writer-director, Dan Trachtenberg.

And then this one, Predator Badlands.

Hmm.

So there you go.

I would say if you only see one film, if you had to pick, I'm watching either Predator or Prey, I would say I would flip a coin as to which one is better.

To me, there's no beating the original.
