All right, let's talk about producers, 'cause it's two of them.

Yeah, so the only ones that we can try and get into that have been allowed in Pressure Machine was Quiet Down in the Carrotswood.

That's the two that are in the rotation for the Pressure Machine.

Like before, I know we'll probably go into it.

Pressure Machine is my favorite album out of the eight.

Like that's the, or out of the seven.

That's the one that I tend to gravitate more towards because as a whole, it just seems to be, Sam's Town to me is a concept album.

It's just, we're entering it with an exit.

Aided by a relentless touring schedule and a clutch of strong singles, debut album Hot Fuss, released in the summer of 2004, did extremely well, reaching the UK top spot and the US top 10.

A couple of decades on, The Killers are one of the biggest rock bands of the last quarter century, with sales in the region of 22 million records worldwide and a total of seven chart topping albums under their belt, such as 2006's Sam's Town, 2017's Wonderful Wonderful, and 2021's Pressure Machine.

Brandon's other solo outings include 2010's Flamingo and 2015's The Desired Effect, both of which were British number ones, which is only fitting for an avowed Anglophile.

In fact, such is our guest's overall impact on the music industry here in Blighty, he received the Ivors Special International Award from Bruce Springsteen, no less, at last year's ceremony in London.

When did you first sense that these new songs wanted to live in that space rather than The Killers' world?

In 2021, we released "Pressure Machine," The Killers' last record, and it was country adjacent.

It was Americana basically, and it all took place in this rural town that I grew up in in Utah.

When you sat down to begin the writing process or just conceptually figure out what you were working on, did you know what you were going to work on?

I sort of knew because the last Killers release was called Pressure Machine.

And I went to this place, this basically...

this town that I grew up in, in Utah, and I just didn't want to leave.

I was writing about it, and it was such a rewarding experience writing Pressure Machine, and I just wanted to keep going, and that's really where this started.

So where did the songs evolve to where, I do hear some parallels on the record with Pressure Machine, but obviously it goes often in more of a country western kind of vibe.

So how did that evolve?

Yeah, I just kept writing.
