Yeah, so the first time I ever saw her live, she was actually opening for Bob Dylan at the XL Energy Center, and she was so great, I was like, I have to see her any time I get a chance.

And so I think now I've seen her four times, but the latest time was in Burlington, Vermont, at the Burlington Jazz Festival, big, huge, free jazz fest, Preservation Hall Jazz Band were there, but my highlight was Mavis Staples.

and she did the song that we're about to hear, Freedom Highway, an old Staples singer's song, and there's a line in the song which goes, the whole world wondering what's wrong with the United States.

And she really laid into that line, and it made me think.

It's called Preservation.

I was like, is that the Preservation Hall Jazz Band? It sounded like it.

Yeah.
