And with me today is our beautiful Preschool All-Star, Joanna De Los Santos.

Hey girl, how are you? I'm doing well, Joy, how are you? I'm doing awesome, thank you.

So we are gonna be getting all into how you are doing local pop-up events for getting preschoolers into your program at local businesses.

So I really liked that part of it that even when I had some sort of, And I was scared to like post the script and, you know, post the alphabet book.

There was always someone there encouraging me to go for it.

And so when you saw Preschool All-Stars and you're like, hmm, should I join this? Like, you know, what is all this about with Preschool All-Stars? What are some of the things that you were going through your mind? Like, no, this is what I need.

So I'm getting a sense of kind of the idea in my head of what this day might look like for a four or five-year-old.

But some homeschool parents thrive with a more structured preschool curriculum.

Some are still itching to make that purchase.

And I know, Jenny, and I'm sure you do too, the heart of this mom who's itching to buy that curriculum is has good intentions.

But others want that more relaxed, play-based approach.

What do you see as the benefits and the drawbacks to each, and how can we make this all work in a day? Tell me what a day might look like.

Well, I would say, first off, that go ahead and buy that preschool curriculum if you want to buy it, as long as you approach it from a play-based perspective.

place, right? Because what you just conveyed, that joy and that enthusiasm for learning is what we need to pass along to our children.

I'm so happy you're here today because guess what? Summer is almost over.

Fall is around the corner and that means it's time for us to go back to preschool or maybe even to preschool or daycare for the very first time.

And you know what guys? Preschool is the best.

It's a special place made just for little kids like you.

You get to play with new friends, new toys, and do all sorts of fun things like sing songs, listen to stories, draw and paint pictures, and play games.

Blooming Buds Daycare and Preschool has launched a charity to give back in a lasting way.

Two single mothers, Nicole Minns and Brunelle Gray, have each been selected to receive full scholarships for their daughters.

The program covers tuition, meals, and even uniforms.

I had a dream, a dream, something that was in my head for quite a while, Two things, I wanted to be in charity, and I wanted to have a preschool.

So, after five years of being here on number 19 Parquet Road at Blooming Butts Dickham Preschool, three years ago in my mind I was thinking, let's give back to the community.

So I said in my head, let's start Seed of Promise.

So it's like a charity branch from the preschool, And we wanted to begin with the Camp World community.

She met her husband Ben within months of arriving, built a family in remote New South Wales, and has become one of Bourke's most respected community leaders.

Today she's the general manager of Bourke's Preschool and Long Day Care Center.

She was awarded Barwon Woman of the Year.

Pru is a passionate advocate for rural and remote families, and perhaps most importantly, a mum who has now walked almost an entire boarding school journey.

So that's a lot of fun.

There's really an event every other week.

So, Anne-Marie, you've brought a lot of attention to this issue in our community.

Elementary schools?

Preschool wasn't a thing then.

So I'm assuming you didn't go to preschool.

Oh, no, I did.

Each of us have these unique gifts to contribute to the world, and it's our job to develop these gifts and give them away.

That's why I created the Preschool SLP podcast.
