And just, like, the way that she assesses the characters and the micro-dramas wh- within these media organizations, it's really fun.

I think that The Preppy Handbook, just the format and the way that it's a guide, obviously there's, like, a service to it, like, kind of teaching you how to get dressed and how to feel in clothes, is fun.

But there's also this, like, magazine-y quality to it that reminds me of Golden Age New York magazine under Adam Moss, with, like, little diagrams and illustrations and humor, and that's how I want my fashion magazines to feel.

And I still get that from, like, Monocle sometimes and New York magazine sometimes.

Like, I really responded to it quite well when I started reading his books.

So I would say, like, it's never a bad time to get into Bret Easton Ellis.

And if you stacked up Scribble Scribble, The Shards, which is quite thick, and The Preppy Handbook, like, for a weekend trip, you should be all set, like, without getting bored.

So maybe those three books, yeah.
