And then on my mind, of course, my big ego saying, I am a Super League player.

I want to go to the Super League team.

I think you're going to like, you know, the Premier League.

Come, you show yourself first.

But yeah, no, uh, as you say, um, I think the start of October was, was actually really good weather for cricket, which is unfortunate.

But what we're gonna do to start with is sort of run through the, the big stories from the Premier League seasons.

Um, I think we'll start actually with a really interesting thing that I picked up.

What I do for the, the, The Mag Club pages is every year I run through all 33 top flight leagues and sort of look through who, who's won.

But, uh, but who knows what patterns will emerge.

But, uh, yeah, re- really interesting and, but I think a g- a good thing in general for the health of, um, club cricket, isn't it? That, that different sides win different leagues and, um, and that, that sort of silverware gets shared around a bit.

bit.Well, look, we're, we're-- I don't want to preempt too much about the second half of the show about what we're gonna discuss of promotion and relegation and, and it's really interesting that what people wanna get out of club cricket, but there's no doubt at that top level, at that Premier League level, it's all about winning.

You know, that there is a different, it's a different challenge being a, a sort of first team Premier League cricketer than it is maybe at our levels, um, i-in terms of, uh, the dedication that you need, the turning up to training.

when I first came back to the football club, we'd just been demoted from the Northern Premier League-

... into the North West Counties.

Li- the, the, the only thing I'd say about that is that back in the day, when I look back on it now, I feel as though I took, took it all for granted.

Let's talk a little bit about Newmachar's season so far.

How would you assess the campaign? Because obviously, you, yous came into the, the Premier League off the back of Hermes going into obedience, uh-

Yeah

... at the start of the season.

But it's, it's been a fairly solid start despite the league table standings.

Yeah, I think so.

Um, I think first and foremost, two weeks before the season starts, we get put into the Premier League through Hermes going into obedience.

Um, so although we had the squad, we weren't focused on that.

if you're keen, uh, well, we are very lucky here in Adelaide because tomorrow night at the entertainment center, uh, the Double Darts ANZ Premier League returns for a huge night, uh, worth of action, and you'll hear voices like this.
