But the data repackaging is only half the problem.

The other half is the systemic abuse of the system and the shift toward predictive policing.

Which is horrifying.

So for today, Mark, myself, and our excellent guest are gonna be talking about predictive policing methods that are escalating, how those national security organizations which use those models of predictive policing can sometimes withhold information about an attack to let it happen potentially.

Um, you know, you know I'm more of the Scully in this podcast.

And we're going to be using the breaking news about Netanyahu withholding information about October 7th and the warnings he was getting from different intelligence organizations, um, as a case study.

Of course, you know, the, a, a western imperial power has a different relationship to police and law enforcement than other countries do, okay? I mean, there's, there's horrendously corrupt, uh, policing happening all over the globe, a lot in the Global South and stuff like that.

A secretive DHS predictive policing unit is analyzing Americans' financial habits and pulling them over.

A 404 media report is revealing the name of Border Patrol's predictive policing units, which analyze financial data and have local cops pull people over.

The people are not suspected of any particular crime.

The Tech Ops Pit Unit is what they're claiming here.

And that gives you a list of possible suspects.

The night shift is slightly more like, and here's some like evil terminology for you, like predictive policing.

This idea of like, I'm going to ask in natural language, which cars in this urban area were acting suspiciously over X period of time.

We have the data from convictions and all the crimes that we've been tracking for police departments and homeowners associations.

I don't know if that's fully accurate.

This raises new ethical questions.

Should technology be used to anticipate crime, and if so, at what cost to privacy? Flock's cameras are a step toward predictive policing, a concept that alarms civil liberties advocates.

The Michigan case showed how delays in transparency can harm public health.

Predictive surveillance raises the risk of harm to civil rights.

Now you're starting to build this system that can then be a minority report situation.

So when you see that the FBI is doing predictive policing, what do you think they're using? They're using these counterintelligence, counterterrorist, geospatial groups mixed with Flock, Palantir, et cetera.

'Cause you have to remember, Palantir got involved with the government in the, with DOGE, and they instituted themself into the IRS, the SSA, and the HHS, et cetera.

So now they have your health data, your Social Security information, and your tax information combined with all of this stuff, your daily activities, et cetera.

The point is that it isn't just one company like Flock.

It's how all these systems and companies come together to form this panopticon-style, technocratic surveillance, predictive police state.

And so to prove that, of course, like we mentioned earlier, the FBI using AI for predictive policing, similar to the Gideon software, which is kind of where we could go next.

Self-admittedly by the man who started the company, who's an ex-Israeli, uh, special force operative, said that he uses Palantir software.

What if artificial intelligence isn't just changing technology, but changing how we assign authority, trust, and moral responsibility? What if the real danger isn't smarter machines, but humans surrendering judgment to systems that claim to know better?
