Have you ever seen the movie The Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger? Oh, yeah.

So you know when the alien cloaks itself? That's what the Glimmer Man is.

No one's saying it's an extraterrestrial, but people, turns out, have seen what looks like a translucent humanoid in the woods.

I mean, some people think it's just ghosts.

Yeah.

What was the connection? Someone who worked on the film Predator.

Remind me of that, because that tripped me up.

'Cause he continued to do this as a web series for many years after To Catch a Predator went off the air.

I'm just going to advert to all the Eddie Murphy movies, Beverly Hills Cops, Another 48 Hours.

It's well put.

So, cinematographer Donald McAlpine also previously worked on Predator, Parenthood, Mrs. Doubtfire, after this, Moulin Rouge, Peter Pan, the best version of Peter Pan, the PJ Hogan one from 2003, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, the best version of that, and X-Men Origins Wolverine.

The worst

version of that.

man, no. He's like 40s in this.

This is after Predator.

It's Sonny Landham.

You know, he looked like the Thing.

you know, from fucking Fantastic Four, just this rock monster who just bashed everybody's head in and everything like that, like, he, because he was that rock formation, it looked cool, it looked really cool, and, uh, and things like that, so he's the only character that really stands out more so than Jax, like, Jax is wearing his, you know, green fatigues and, um, green bandana with his metal arms what's fucking hilarious is that if you've ever played Mortal Kombat X one of the downloadable characters is Predator now with Predator comes new outfits for Johnny Cage and Jax For Jax, he's wearing the exact same thing Carl Weathers wore in the movie.

Johnny Cage is wearing the same thing that Arnold Schwarzenegger wore in the movie.

And so there's a lot of callbacks.

What's kind of ironic is that if you look at the Carl Weathers skin that they have in Mortal Kombat X, that's very similar to what Jax wore in Mortal Kombat Special Forces, which has a cool little Easter egg.

But at the same time, people are going to...

Die-hard Mortal Kombat fans might put that together, but then again, fans of the Predator franchise will just see Carl Weathers and be like, okay, yeah, that makes sense.

And then another thing is that Carl Weathers gets his arm chopped off in that movie, so...

Exactly.

You know, he also did the vocal effects for the Predator in the movie Predator.

And then if you remember the old Donkey Kong cartoon and the Saturday Supercade, he voiced Mario, like the original Mario, not the Itzumi.

Not that one that we remember from like the late 80s.
